GROSS is a live spoken piece, synched with an audio script following three narratives of; the projected ego, repetitive thoughts + wondering what to say to the audience, while performed in a structural costume.

Stemming from a very isolated first lockdown, it follows the insidious nature of extreme beauty fads + the rise in the normalcy of surgery for it, mental health, low self esteem + how social media often perpetuates this.

Utilising crinoline techniques to create + showcase the current [in 2020] ‘desirable’ body shape + questioning what our duty of care is as a society, if this is becoming the norm + what happens when the trends pass?
